DOING NOTHING WITH A PASSION ...
Do what you love the most. We hear this way too often. Then wonder what we love doing! A person like me finds the going even tougher since I love nothing. I mean doing NOTHING!! Then how do I DO NOTHING?
Can someone offer any clues here? Actually it is very simple. You can actually DO NOTHING by doing something you DO NOT love doing. So effectively you DO NOTHING (which you actually love)!!
On a serious note, this statement bugs me a lot. There are different things I love to do … at different times. So how can I be doing something that I love all the time?
People talk about following their passion. I do not know how you do that. Passion is about spending huge energy doing things and still feeling happy upon being exhausted. And then be ready to do the same thing upon the next available opportunity. So trying to bring my passion into doing NOTHING! More on this later ……

Food and mind - the relation
Folks it has been a while that I have been writing on this blog. But seriously, since there have been no feedbacks coming, I was kind of just trying to put my thoughts in order before I share them on the blog. Truly, this is no scientific study that I am doing. It is just some observations that I try to relate with mind and then share it on this blog with the hopes that someday someone finds them stimulating enough to respond back and share with his or her thoughts. So this time I have some observations regarding the state of mind and its correlation with the food that we have. So on a typical day, you had a late dinner when you were feeling hungry and charged enough to have a spirited go at it. And once you are done with it, your spirits start coming down and so do your energy levels. Soon you are engulfed with laziness and slowly you are pulled towards the couch so that you can watch your favorite TV show. First ten minutes pass and then sleep takes over. But hey, there is something which will now start to spoil your show. Yes, the burps make sure that you can’t enjoy your sleep. But since you not awake enough to do something better, you still proceed to your bed. The story is still not over. The moment of weakness on the dinner table is now going to be hours of torture at the middle of night. And damn it, you just can’t find the soda bottle in the fridge. So you sit for a while, get up and pace up and down in the hall, then go back to sleep. No way have you felt better. Now it is the heart burn which is causing distress. So you struggle for another hour and finally tiredness wins over and gives you the much required sleep.
So what has this to do with mind? Of course it has a lot to do with it. The next morning is when the trouble starts. You get up after having a bad sleep and even some unpleasant dreams. Unpleasant dreams? I bet most of you will get them. With a bad stomach you really need to be born in different species to get sweet dreams! If you don’t believe, try to simulate this once and give me your feedback.
So, what next? Well, that is even interesting. You hardly want to start the day. Your spirits are down to the lowest. Life is gloomy and there is no hope. You push yourself to make a cup of tea when you find that the milk smells of the onion curry that you stuffed in the fridge after your dinner last night. Damn it! Your life is a waste and the future is so bleak. You switch on the TV just to find that channels are not working. Heavy rains last night have disturbed your dish TV antenna! So now you look for the news paper. And so you get to know the impending lay-offs that is staring your industry. Too bad?!!!
Now try doing this. No food after 8 pm. 30 min of walk followed by a good night’s sleep by 10 pm. Let me know if you wake up next in a different and happier mindset. Let me also know in case you felt differently!
